Statewide hardwood repair
Hardwood Repair & Restoration, done the Maryland way
Almost every repair call we get is just the boards, not the floor. In Chevy Chase and Annapolis the work is usually preservation-grade: sistering split boards near radiators, patching where old floor grates were removed, and matching reclaimed oak of the same vintage so the fix takes stain like its neighbors instead of standing out pale and new.
In newer housing stock around Fulton and Clarksburg, the common call is a discontinued builder-grade board damaged by a fridge or dishwasher line. We keep relationships with Maryland distributors who still carry those profiles, so the repair blends instead of announcing itself. Squeaks and movement — the bread-and-butter of Silver Spring's split-levels — we fix from below where there's basement access, or with concealed fasteners from above.

Why one local crew
The person who measures your floor is the person who quotes it
We're a flooring crew, not a franchise. Every quote is fixed and honored for 60 days, with no day-two "we found something" surcharges unless you approve them in writing first. We've been laying, sanding, and rescuing Maryland floors since 2009, and most of our work now comes from referrals inside the same neighborhoods — the only marketing metric we really trust.

Maryland repair & restoration questions, answered
Can you replace just a few damaged hardwood boards, or do I need a whole new floor?
Almost always just the boards. We cut out only the damaged boards, weave in matched replacements, and blend the finish so the repair disappears. Whole-floor replacement is the last resort, and we'll say so in writing before you spend a dollar more than you need to.
How much does hardwood floor repair cost?
Most single-area repairs run about $225-$425 including finish blending, with a roughly $225 minimum that's credited toward the work. Squeak elimination is priced per room. We photograph, quote fixed, and never expand scope without your sign-off.
How do you fix squeaky hardwood floors?
Squeaks are boards moving against nails or subfloor gaps, not usually a structural problem. We fix them from below when there's basement access, or with concealed counter-bored fasteners from above. If we ever find a real structural issue, we document it and refer you before charging you.
Can you match the wood in an older home?
Yes — by species, cut, width, and age. For newer floors we source the original manufacturer profile; for older homes we use reclaimed stock of the same vintage so the patch takes stain like its neighbors instead of standing out pale and new.
Do you restore historic and original hardwood floors?
Restoration is some of our favorite work: sistering split boards, re-nailing squeaks into old subfloor, and patching where floor grates or walls were removed. Century-old oak has color depth new wood can't fake, so we save it whenever it's sound.
